Damien and I met at a mutual friends 21st birthday party in December 2001 and after 7 years together Damien and I decided to confirm our commitment to each other by getting married. Our wedding took place on 2nd May 2009 and we had decided to have the ceremony at St Paul’s of the Cross Monastery with the reception following at the Glenelg Surf Life Saving Club.
Our bridal party was made up entirely of siblings as I had my three sisters as my bridesmaids, with my eldest sister Julienne as my Matron of Honor and Damien had his three younger brothers as his groomsmen with his brother Tom as his Best Man.
On the day of the wedding we had been prepared for rain, hail and wind as the weather had been horrendous in the days leading up to our big day however we were extremely lucky that the sky was blue and the sun was shining which was perfect for the photos we had in mind on the beach etc.

On the morning of the wedding myself and my sisters were all having our hair and make-up professionally styled at my sister Julienne’s house. We were actually very if not too relaxed. Then before we realised the time, the photographer, Melissa arrived and not one of us was dressed. This caused minor panic but paved the way for diligence from that point on.
Fortunately our photographer was prepared and she quickly jumped into action capturing all the important moments on film. One of our favorite photos was one that was taken while I was getting dressed into my wedding gown as it shows my mum even pitching in to try to help to get me ready.
Once we were dressed everything just fell into place and the day ran remarkably smoothly (all the hours of preparation had paid off!) and before we knew it we were married walking out of the church as Mr and Mrs Hedditch. Yippiee.
After taking some further shots with all the wedding guests in the church grounds we headed off to Glenelg to capture some further photos on the beach and around the Glenelg area.

We were very happy with all the photography of the day as Melissa took a whole variety of photos in numerous different locations such as on the beach, out the front of the reception venue, out the front of the Grand Hotel at a café etc. When we viewed the photos we were very excited as they really captured the day.
Damien and I had never been photographed so many times before and Melissa was very professional and made us feel relaxed. We had often heard people complaining about all the photos that you have on your wedding day and how tiring it is however we found that it was actually a very fun and enjoyable experience.
A further shot that we both love and have enlarged to put on display at home is one where we are dancing together on the beach as this photo was a true reflection on how happy and relaxed our whole day was.
Thanks for everything Melissa!!!!
